Each design begins with a pencil sketch followed by a digital 3D surface, which is then printed in my studio. I use biodegradable PLA, which is short for Polylactic Acid, a thermoplastic polymer derived from renewable resources, such as corn starch, potato starch, or sugar cane.
The process and materials make each piece unique, with striations and marks adding individuality.
PLA is a robust material so this bauble won’t break if it falls from the tree or mantlepiece :-)
